The San Clemente Skatepark Coalition is trying to raise $50,000 to help the city add night lighting to Ralphs Skate Court.
The coalition says it has raised $12,000 and the Friends of San Clemente Foundation has added $9,000.
Next step is a 6:30 p.m. fundraising concert on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at OC Tavern, 2369 S. El Camino Real, featuring Stink, Inc., a local band consisting of five skateboarders ages 8 to 12. The band will play 20-minute sets at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m, said Stephanie Aguilar, coalition president.
