A newly built Newport Beach waterfront luxury estate loaded with amenities to rival a 5-star hotel has landed on the market for $68 million.

The listing pitches it as “the epitome of opulence.”

Clad in Lasa slab and architectural rain glass, this 12,749-square-foot house on a large lot in the Balboa Peninsula is a collaboration of Orange-based architect Paul McClean and Laguna Beach-based Gallo Builders. It has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a 3,700-square-foot rooftop deck equipped with a retractable C-Seed 144-inch TV screen.

A Kalamazoo barbecue kitchen adds to the elevated al fresco space, with a full audio setup.

Los Angeles-based interior designer Lynda Murray outfitted the home’s two kitchens with top-of-the-line appliances by Miele, SubZero and Liebherr, complemented by Antolini porcelain countertops, Poliform cabinets and Dornbracht plumbing fixtures.

There’s an entertainment lounge and bar, a temperature-controlled 192-bottle wine wall and a separate 750=bottle wine room.

A custom Alison Berger chandelier illuminates the spiral staircase, which boasts stainless steel handrails and stringers polished to a mirror finish and porcelain treads. All three levels are also accessible by elevator.

Movie nights can be had inside the home theater.

Other amenities include a virtual reality racing room, a gym outfitted with Pavi Gym rubber floors and Rogue fitness equipment, and a massage room with towel-warming drawers.

State-of-the-art technology is ever-present, from radiant heated floors in the spa-inspired primary bathroom to whole house systems.

Each bedroom and bathroom offers privacy in addition to luxury, which is a given in this home.

As if that weren’t enough, six-panel fully automated Sky-Frame glass doors open up the living space to the backyard. It includes a large fire pit and a 26-foot Kalamazoo barbecue kitchen and serving island.

There’s a large pool and spa, a four-car garage with a hydraulic door and glass cladding, and along the water’s edge is a pier platform and docks for multiple yachts.

Josh and Heather Altman of Douglas Elliman Real Estate hold the listing.

The new build replaced a 1930s Spanish-style home, which sold in September 2012 for $10.5 million. Records show the owner is Elias J. Sabo, a founding partner and CEO of Compass Diversified Holdings.
