Man dies after vehicle crashes into tree in Fullerton

A man died at a hospital after he lost control of his vehicle in Fullerton and crashed into a tree Monday afternoon, Jan. 10, on Euclid Avenue, authorities said.

Fullerton police were investigating whether the driver may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash, which occurred on Euclid south of Baker Street just before 1:45 p.m., Sgt. Brandon Clyde said.

The driver was headed south on Euclid when losing control, crossing over the center median and the northbound lanes and slamming into the tree, Clyde said.

The driver was not publicly identified by police, pending notification of his relatives.
