Man dies after stabbing behind Anaheim strip mall

A man died at a hospital after he was stabbed in Anaheim Friday night, Sept. 10, authorities said.

Anaheim police responded to the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue, near Crescent Way, just before 10:15 p.m. and found the man, who had been stabbed multiple times, Sgt. Jacob Gallacher said.

Video from the scene showed officers and paramedics tending to the victim in a parking lot behind a strip mall across the street from an apartment complex.

Another man was seen in handcuffs seated on the sidewalk near the scene, but Gallacher said it wasn’t immediately known if he was involved in the stabbing.

Detectives were working possible leads, Gallacher said. A motive was not yet known.

“It was kind of a chaotic scene last night,” he said. “There were a lot of people calling and lots of witnesses. I know our homicide detectives are in the process of interviewing those folks.”

Further information about the victim was not immediately available.
