Laguna Hills woman arrested on drug charges after incident at lingerie shop

LAGUNA BEACH — A 51-year-old Laguna Hills woman was arrested on drug charges after police say they found a drug pipe in her bra and methamphetamine in underwear she was wearing.
A clerk at Delicate Illusions, in the 1800 block of South Coast Highway, called Laguna Beach police at 5:10 p.m. Dec. 19 after finding items the woman had taken into the dressing room in her purse, Sgt. Jim Cota said.
Nicole Harvey, 51, Laguna Hills
Prior to the clerk’s discovery, the woman — identified as Nicole Harvey — had taken several items valued at $274 into a dressing room, Cota said. When she came out of the dressing room, she went to the register to pay for a pair of $6 stockings.
“When the store employee asked about the other items she had taken to the dressing room, the woman said she was still wearing the panties and had forgotten to take them off,” Cota said.
The clerk asked if Harvey would allow her to check her purse. She agreed, and the clerk found the missing items in the purse, Cota said.
The clerk called for her manager and as she did, Harvey tried to leave the store, Cota said. The clerk ran after her and grabbed her, bringing her back inside.
After police arrived, Harvey agreed to a search by the officers, Cota said. As they searched her, he said, she informed them she had a narcotics pipe in her bra and methamphetamine in her underwear.
She was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
