A Laguna Beach home with ties to Las Vegas timeshare tycoon Stephen J. Cloobeck has hit the market for $39.7 million.

The five-bedroom, 9,305-square-foot contemporary style boasts a front-row position at the Montage Laguna Beach resort as one of 13 private homes with access to concierge, housekeeping and room service.

Documents viewed at PropertyShark.com show Cloobeck bought the property for $10.5 million in December 2007 — the same year he founded the Las Vegas-based timeshare company Diamond Resorts International. He later transferred the property into an LLC co-managed by his now ex-wife.

Built on a third-acre lot in 2010 and newly remodeled, the home features a floating staircase topped by a large skylight that illuminates the two-story interior.

The home has a spacious living area with a modern glass fireplace, a temperature-controlled wine wall, and a designer kitchen with high-end appliances, a stainless steel pantry and a Dacor wine station.

Glass walls open the interior to outdoor spaces adorned by a new glass fire pit, outdoor shower, and kitchen with a built-in Viking grill, ice maker, refrigerator and Kalamazoo pizza oven.

The pool and spa are directly accessible from the primary suite.

There’s a gym, home theater and access to an outdoor courtyard with a one-story waterfall.

Other amenities include a gaming space, luxury home office center and glass-encased wine cellar.

A three-car garage with epoxy flooring adds to the listing held by John Stanaland of Villa Real Estate and his son, Tyler Stanaland of The Oppenheim Group and Netflix series “Selling The OC.”

Cloobeck stepped down as chairman and CEO of Diamond Resorts in 2016 when Apollo Global Management, LLC bought it for $2.2 billion in cash. He appeared on CBS’s “Undercover Boss” twice and once considered a run for governor in Nevada.

In a 2012 article detailing his much-publicized breakup with a Canadian model, Cloobeck—a prominent Democratic donor—told Vanity Fair he’s played golf with Barack Obama, bunked with Joe Biden and regularly chats by phone with Nancy Pelosi.
