More than 300 people gathered Wednesday night in a corner of Borrego Park in the Foothill Ranch community of Lake Forest to hold a candlelight vigil in memory of 19-year-old homicide victim Blaze Bernstein.
A makeshift memorial with photos, candles and flowers was set up on a picnic table near where Bernstein’s body was found Tuesday.
Members of the Bernstein family invited anyone who knew him to come up and share their memories of him.
Those that chose to speak included next-door neighbors of the Bernsteins, students that knew Bernstein and residents that came to support the family.
The vigil lasted about an hour and concluded with people giving their condolences to the family.
