Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday will feature Grinch, Santa and big hearts

It wasn’t the Hollywood Christmas Parade itself on Monday, Nov. 20, when a crowd of colorful characters and city officials gathered at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue. It was an upbeat peek at what parade-goers will enjoy on Sunday, Nov. 26 when the beloved longtime parade makes its way down Hollywood Boulevard.

At the press conference, Santa Claus and the Grinch both spoke to the crowd, and the PAVA World Korean Traditional Ban performed for the VIPs, journalists and others gathered outside the Ovation Hollywood. Mulan, the legendary folk heroine from Chinese history, was there, and so were the Lion Dancers, who perform  traditional dance in which they mimic a lion’s movements.

Magicians Nick Dopuch and Mat O’Neill got the crowd laughing, and 100 other performers created a colorful and appreciative audience. Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman, who represents Hollywood and its environs, welcomed all to come to the parade.
