A 25-year-old Fullerton woman pleaded guilty Thursday, Nov. 5, and was immediately sentenced to 200 hours of community service and 45 days in jail for her part in a rampage through a South Coast Plaza restaurant that caused thousands of dollars in damage.
Laglennda Damona Carr was also placed on two years of formal probation and ordered to participate in an anger-management program.
Carr pleaded guilty to one felony count each of vandalism and conspiracy and misdemeanor counts of wearing a mask as a disguise during a crime and resisting arrest.
Co-defendant Passion Shenay Coleman was a former employee of Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant at South Coast Plaza, the eatery she rampaged through with Carr, according to police.
Police said the two went into the restaurant about 11:40 a.m. on Oct. 5 and vandalized a television, table settings and plates. According to Costa Mesa police, the vandalism attack forced the restaurant to cancel its dinner reservations that night.
Coleman also made threats and hurled a plate at a restaurant employee before running away, police said.
Coleman pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to single counts each of criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, as well as two counts of vandalism, all felonies, and other crimes. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail. She made her plea in a special court that helps defendants with drug-abuse issues.
