Watch OCTA bus video of car that flew into 2nd floor of building in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA – A surveillance camera on a public bus caught the moment Sunday morning when a car went airborne and punched a hole in the second floor of a Santa Ana dental office.
The crash, which happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 300 block of 17th Street, occurred when a Nissan Altima hit a raised median while traveling at a high speed, according to Santa Ana police. Those in the car received medical attention for minor injuries, and the driver admitted to being under the influence of narcotics, police said.

The incident was also captured by a nearby motel’s surveillance camera. In that video and the Orange County Transportation Authority bus video, the Nissan appears to narrowly miss hitting the bus that was traveling along 17th Street.
