Update: Santa Ana police say man who had been missing is located

Update: Santa Ana police announced on Saturday night that Gregorio Diaz was located and returned home to his family.

SANTA ANA – Santa Ana police Saturday searched for a 73-year-old resident with Alzheimer’s disease who left his home on a bicycle and did not return, authorities said.
Gregorio Diaz was last seen about 10 a.m. Friday riding away from his home on a black bicycle with a basket on the back, police said. His address was not available.
Diaz is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes, wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants, police said. He suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and did not have his medication with him.
Diaz left, stating he would be back shortly, police said. He had his wallet with identification. He is known to frequent parks, fairs and swap meets.
