Students at Tustin Unified school inspired to pick up a book by Read Across America event
By Orange County on March 1, 2019
There were lots of Things 1 and 2 and multiple Cats in the Hat at Loma Vista Elementary School on Friday, March 2.
The Tustin Unified School Distirct campus was one of many celebrating Read Across America Day, which is held each year in conjunction with the birthday of Theodor Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss.
Helping to inspire the youngsters to enjoy reading were Tustin Rotary Club members, Miss Tustin and other community and business leaders. Many got in the spirit and dressed as Dr. Seuss characters while they read to the students.
