Santa, a firetruck and thousands of twinkling lights mark Laguna Woods Village’s holiday celebration

Grandchildren shouted out with glee Saturday as Santa made his way to Clubhouse Two – not by sleigh, but atop a shiny red firetruck, courtesy of Orange County Fire Authority Station 22.
Hundreds attended Laguna Woods Village’s second annual holiday celebration, which included Dickens carolers, a performance by local Girl Scout troops and holiday crafts for the kiddos. The event was capped by the lighting of a 20-foot Christmas free in the courtyard in front of the clubhouse.
The event spread cheer to underserved children, too, as residents brought new toys and sports equipment for OCFA’s Spark of Love toy drive.
