Residents run for charity in inaugural Chamber of Commerce holiday 5K run

LAKE FOREST — Hundreds of residents dressed in holiday wear flooded the Lake Forest Sports Park to take part in the inaugural Elf Yourself Holiday 5K event, Saturday, Dec. 16.

Santas, elves and a few pets participated in the event, which took runners on a course around the sports park. The event was hosted by the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce and aimed to raise funds for charity.
Participants were all given holiday shirts and stocking-shaped medals for finishing the race. Runners came from all over South Orange County.
The event also included an expo with food and holiday themed activities.
