A paddle-out in memory of Aliso Niguel High School senior Kyle Escobar at sunset Thursday, Feb. 8, drew hundreds to Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. Escobar, 17, who died Monday, Feb. 5, was a senior at Aliso Niguel High School. About 100 surfers paddled out on their boards to form a circle and throw flowers into the ocean. Escobar was survived by his father, Flo; mother; Jenivy; brother, Kobe; and sister, Kloe.
