Here are major construction project closures happening on Orange County’s freeways and toll roads between Aug. 22 and Aug. 28, according to the Orange County Transportation Authority, Caltrans and the Transportation Corridor Agencies.
5 Freeway
Northbound carpool lanes between State Route 55 and State Route 57:
- Scheduled to open to traffic in late August
22 Freeway
Alternating westbound lanes between State Route 55 and Interstate 405:
- 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25
- 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26
- 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27
- 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, to 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28
405 Freeway
Northbound loop off-ramp to Bolsa Avenue:
- 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22
Southbound loop off-ramp to northbound Beach Boulevard:
- Permanently closed in mid-August
Southbound between Goldenwest Street and Bolsa Avenue:
- Weeknights through Tuesday, Aug. 25
Northbound between Beach Boulevard and McFadden Avenue:
- 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25
- Weeknights from Wednesday, Aug. 26, to Tuesday, Sept. 1
Northbound loop on-ramp from Goldenwest Street:
- Scheduled to reopen on Friday, Oct. 2
Northbound loop off-ramp to Westminster Boulevard:
- Closed in April for approximately one year
OC Streetcar
Detours, temporary lane closures are expected daily on Harbor Boulevard and Fairview Street near the Willowick Golf Course. Detours, temporary lane and parking closures are expected daily on Broadway, West Santa Ana Boulevard, Main Street, Ross Street, Sycamore Street, French Street, East Santa Ana Boulevard and Santiago Street. Temporary sidewalk and parking closures are expected daily on 4th Street.
Full closures will be in place for the north side of Santa Ana Boulevard from Raitt Street to Shelton Street. Only the eastbound traffic will be allowed on the south side of Santa Ana Boulevard.
