A male body was found Tuesday morning, Aug. 25, in the water off Huntington Beach.
A marine safety officer was patrolling near Tower 9 when they observed an unknown object out in the water, according to Huntington Beach Fire Department spokesperson Eric Blaska.
The lifeguard paddled out to find a deceased male in the water and pulled the victim out near the tower.
“There were no reported missing swimmers in Huntington Beach, and we do not have any more information about the victim,” Blaska said in an e-mail.
