Flyover planned in Southern California to mark World War II’s end 75 years ago

Several World War II-era planes are scheduled to participate in a flyover Wednesday, Sept. 2, the 75th anniversary of the end of the war.

The flyover is expected to start at noon at Long Beach Airport and finish around 1:30 p.m. at Chino Cal Aero Airfield.

Here is the expected route:

• Los Alamitos

• Marine Corps Air Station Tustin

• National WWII Submarine Memorial-West (Seal Beach)

• Queen Mary (Long Beach)

• USS Iowa (San Pedro)

• Torrance Airport

• Santa Monica

• Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance (Los Angeles)

• Brackett Field Airport (La Verne)

• Ontario Army Airfield

• Chino Cal Aero Airfield
