FBI searches for ‘Black & White Sneaker Bandit’ who targeted 8 Orange County banks

A man dubbed the “Black & White Sneaker Bandit” was recently seen on camera allegedly robbing at least eight banks across central and north Orange County, according to federal investigators.

The FBI in Los Angeles released images of the man taken from bank security cameras in Fullerton, Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa.

The photos show the man dressed in different clothes for each robbery, except for his shoes: black sneakers with white soles.

The FBI did not respond to a request for comment about the robberies Sunday. It’s not clear when they occurred or whether the alleged robber got away with any money.

It’s also unclear whether the alleged robber was armed during any of the incidents.

However, the FBI asked the public to help them identify the man. They asked anyone with information to call (310) 477-6565.

The new string of robberies comes after the FBI arrested the “green gaiter bandit,” a man accused of robbing four banks in North Orange County in January. The man received the nickname after being spotted on camera wearing a green face-covering in each of the robberies.
