Election 2022 map: California governor’s primary results by county

The results map below will start updating as soon as results start to be posted after polls close at 8 p.m.

California voters are deciding whether Gov. Gavin Newsom should get a second term as leader of the state. He’s facing 25 challengers in the primary on Tuesday, June 7, and the top two finishers will go on to the general election in November.

Vote-counting begins as soon as polls close at 8 p.m. and will continue for at least a week, to allow for mail-in ballots postmarked by June 7 to arrive by the deadline of June 14. Provisional and conditional ballots may also take more time to be counted. Counties have until July 7 to certify their final results.

Here are the statewide results so far, and a look at which candidates have the most support in each county.
