FULLERTON — A 39-year-old man riding a bicycle sustained critical injuries after being struck by a car Friday evening, Dec. 1, police said.
The man, who is from Anaheim, was hit around 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of Orangethorpe and Courtney avenues, Fullerton Police Lt. Mike Chlebowski said.
The man sustained head and facial injuries while a 52-year-old woman from Fullerton driving a Hyundai sedan was not hurt and remained at the scene. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to have contributed to the crash, Chlebowski said. The collison remains under investigation. No citations had been issued Friday night in connection with the crash.
