A Pasadena home with views of Los Angeles’ iconic skyline has hit the market for $2.985 million, just a month after it last sold.
The 3,519-square-foot, Spanish-style residence with four bedrooms and four bathrooms is perched in San Rafael Hills, with panoramic views of the San Gabriel Valley and mountains.
Beyond jaw-dropping views, the two-story custom build completed on a half-acre lot in 1982 has an open layout with a formal dining room and a sitting area that extends off the sunken living room with a beamed ceiling.
Double sets of glass doors open from the living room to a Saltillo tile circular patio that offers a front-row seat to Rose Bowl fireworks.
The gourmet kitchen has a walk-in pantry.
Up the dramatic circular staircase is the primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and an extra room that can double as a lounge, study or baby’s room.
Property records show the property sold on Oct. 6 to an Idaho-based gastroenterologist for $2.75 million, almost 9% below the current asking price.
According to co-listing agent Dianne Tu of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, the seller “had a change in plans with a career offer out of state and decided to pursue that route.”
She stressed the home is not a flip.
“It is now available to a fortunate buyer who can see this fantastic opportunity to own a home in a prestigious area with stunning views,” Tu said.
Lane Aaronson of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties shares the listing.
