A 48-year-old woman was arrested Friday, Nov. 17, on suspicion of killing an elderly woman who was found dead inside a Huntington Beach home, authorities said.

Officers were called about 4:20 a.m.Friday to the 6000 block of Tyndall Drive, a cul-de-sac, and found the 48-year-old woman at the front door of a house, Sgt. Anthony Pham said. They found the other woman, described by police as elderly, dead inside the residence, Pham said.

The younger woman was detained for questioning and later arrested, Pham said. Detectives believe the two women knew each other, but whether they were related was not yet known.

The type of injuries the victim suffered, or where in the house she was found, was not disclosed by police. Whether the younger woman or someone else called 911 also was not known.
