Where are California’s weakest housing markets?

It was a wild June for California homebuying as high mortgage rates and lofty prices scared off many house hunters.

Look what the California Association of Realtors’ monthly sales report shows us among the state’s largest counties …

  • Prices over 12 months: June’s median sales price was up in 44 counties and down in seven, with swings from an 8% loss to a 34% gain.
  • But sales vs. June 2021: Just two rose and 49 were down, with swings from a 55% drop to a 48% increase.

Which regions suffered the biggest chills? To take our quiz on June’s home sales results, compiled using data from CAR.
