Watch live: Electoral College confirmation at 10 a.m. Pacific

The Senate and the House of Representatives will meet in a joint session Wednesday to tally the results of the Electoral College ballots for president and vice president.

The session is set to begin at 1 p.m. Eastern, or 10 a.m. Pacific time.

C-SPAN plans to begin coverage at 9:35 a.m. Pacific time, at which time the feed embedded below should go live.

The voting certificates from each state will be read in alphabetical order. If a House member and a senator object to a certain state’s count, the joint session will go into recess and each chamber will meet separately to debate the issue for up to two hours and then vote on the state’s count.

Because of social distancing rules, each objection could result in well beyond two hours of delay.

The Republican objections are expected to focus on Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania. Sens. Ted Cruz, Kelly Loeffler and Josh Hawley have announced they will sign on to the challenges.
