The surf was up and so were the pups.
The annual Surf City Surf Dogs event was held Saturday, Sept. 25, bringing wave-riding canines that braved the ocean throughout the day at, where else, the popular Dog Beach at Goldenwest Street in Huntington.
The contest, which attracted dozens of surfing dogs to the event, was free to watch for spectators on the sand who cheered on the canines that were judged on their best five waves during 12-minute heats.
