A Seal Beach man accused of threatening to shoot his coworkers at a Belmont Heights pharmacy was arrested by Long Beach police this week, authorities said.
Aiken Bui, 35, was taken into custody on Monday, Jan. 9, two days after a coworker called police and told officers of the threats, police said.
The threats were made Jan . 4 and Bui regularly carried a firearm, the coworker told police.
Detectives learned Bui had access to multiple firearms and obtained a Gun Violence Emergency Protective Order restraining Bui from his firearms , police said. They also obtained an arrest warrant.
Officers found Bui driving in the area of the business, in the 3500 block of East Broadway, pulled him over and arrested him on Monday, police said. They later conducted a search of his home and found six firearms, including several illegal assault weapons.
Bui was booked into jail on one count of threatening a crime with intent to terrorize and one count of possession of an assault weapon, police said. He was released Tuesday after posting a $100,000 bond, inmate records show.
