Rose Parade 2022’s top floats: ‘The Bachelor’, AMC and others that stood out on social media

The crowds may have been smaller than usual for the 2022 Rose Parade, but the floral-covered floats driving down Colorado Blvd drew in big impressions from people watching at home.

With some familiar floats like Trader Joe’s and some first-time floats like “The Bachelor,” these were the most talked-about on social media. But first, here’s a general summary of this year’s float order:

These were the top five float moments, according to Twitter.

1. “The Bachelor” float made its debut at the Rose Parade with an appearance from the season’s new bachelor, Clayton Echard and new host Jesse Palmer. The float is a scaled-down version of the exotic Villa De La Vina, where the show is filmed. It was met with confusion on social media.

2. AMC’s “We Make Movies Better” float recreated a movie theater, complete with a working big-screen showing some 2022 movie trailers. This received praise not only on social media but those watching the parade in person.

3. Halfway through the parade was a performance of “Born on the Bayou” from the Hot 8 Brass Band and singer Laine Hardy, who won Season 17 of “American Idol.” Hardy was aboard the Louisiana “Feed Your Soul” float which impressed Twitter users.

4. The Masked Singer, “Anything Can Happen,” float also made an impression for its theme, but most notably an appearance from singer Dionne Warwick, with a funny moment caught on camera.

5. And finally, Reese’s University, “Chocolate. Peanut Butter. Success.” had some Twitter users wishing to attend the fictional college.
