Burton was seen hopping late to the Grand Marshal float but made it up by grabbing a microphone to greet parade-goers a Happy New Year while driving down Colorado Blvd.

Social media users were beaming with excitement to see the “Reading Rainbow” host on TV and in person. They took to Twitter to post their reactions to Burton’s appearance.
