Riverside police crisis negotiators on Wednesday night, Nov. 4, talked down a man who was threatening to jump onto the 91 Freeway.
The appearance of the man straddling the fence on the Jackson Street overpass was reported at about 9 p.m. and prompted the freeway’s closure in both directions for about two hours.
The man eventually was safely detained and taken to a mental-health facility for evaluation, the Police Department said.
