A 73-year-old pedestrian from Westminster was killed in a collision involving eight cars in Garden Grove on Saturday evening, police said.
The crash occurred around 5:54 p.m. in the 12100 block of Lewis Street. near Chapman Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Royce Wimmer said. The pedestrian’s identity was not released.
Details on how the crash occurred were not immediately made available. Police are investigating but do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.
