More remains found near where foot was discovered on 210 Freeway in Rialto

More human remains have been found in a segment of the 210 Freeway in Rialto where a foot was discovered on May 3, leading California Highway Patrol investigators to conclude that a person was struck by a vehicle.

Investigators with K-9s were searching for more remains on Friday afternoon, May 7, said Sgt. B. Robinson, a spokesman for the CHP’s San Bernardino office.

The right lane of the westbound 210 was closed near Ayala Drive, Caltrans said. Off-ramps and on-ramps at Pepper Avenue and State Street were also closed during the search.

Monday, the foot was found in the median west of State Street by a Caltrans employee. The foot may have belonged to a woman and appeared to have been there for several days, the CHP said Monday.
