A possibly gang-related shooting in Anaheim left a man dead Tuesday, Dec. 21.
Callers reported gunfire on the 2100 block of East Balsam Avenue at about 4:15 p.m., Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said. Responding officers found a man on a sidewalk between two apartment buildings who had been shot.
The victim was a 22-year-old who was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Carringer said. His name was not immediately released.
The killing took place in a neighborhood that has seen numerous other possibly gang-related shootings in recent months, Carringer said. A description of any possible suspect and further information about the homicide were not immediately released.
