Major Orange County freeway closures planned: June 20-26

Here are major construction project closures happening on Orange County’s freeways and toll roads between June 20 and June 26, according to the Orange County Transportation Authority, Caltrans and the Transportation Corridor Agencies.

5 Freeway

Southbound connector to the eastbound State Route 22:

• 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, June 20

Northbound carpool lane between Cristianitos Road and Bake Parkway:

• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 22
• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23

Southbound carpool lane between Bake Parkway and Cristianitos Road:

• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24
• 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25

Northbound carpool lane between Grand Avenue and State Route 57 and southbound carpool lane between Bristol Street/La Veta Avenue and First Street:

• Scheduled to remain closed through the end of June

57 Freeway

Southbound connector to the eastbound State Route 22:

• 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, June 20

State Route 133

Southbound off-ramp to Barranca Parkway:

• 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20

Northbound on-ramp from Pacifica/Gateway on-ramp:

• 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20

405 Freeway

Between Bolsa Chica Road and Springdale Street:

• 10 p.m. Friday, June 19, to 8 a.m. Saturday, June 20
• 10 p.m. Saturday, June 20, to 9 a.m. Sunday, June 21

Northbound loop on-ramp from Goldenwest Street:

• Scheduled to close on Friday, June 19, for approximately three months

Northbound between Slater and Warner avenues:

• 10 p.m. Monday, June 22, to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 23
• 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24

Southbound between Warner Avenue and Brookhurst Street:

• 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, to 5:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25
• 10 p.m. Thursday, June 25, to 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 26

Southbound between Brookhurst and Euclid streets:

• Nightly closures beginning Monday, June 22, for approximately two weeks

Southbound off-ramp to and loop on-ramp from Goldenwest Street:

• Scheduled to reopen Tuesday, June 23

Northbound loop off-ramp to Westminster Boulevard:

• Closed in April for approximately one year

Southbound on-ramp from Edinger Avenue:

• Scheduled to reopen Wednesday, July 1

OC Streetcar

Detours, temporary lane closures and parking restrictions are expected daily on Fairview Street, West Santa Ana Boulevard, Main Street, by Sasscer Park, Fourth Street, Broadway, East Santa Ana Boulevard, French Street, Lacy Street and Santiago Street.
