Irvine police seek video game store armed robber

An armed robber stole $1,300 from an Irvine video game store Friday night, police said.
A male entered a GameStop store at The Market Place, 13210 Jamboree Rd., around 8:40 p.m. and flashed a black semiautomatic firearm on his waistband upon approaching the counter, an Irvine police statement said Saturday.
Concealing his nose and mouth with an American flag bandana, he demanded cash from two employees, police said.
After being handed the money, the suspect ordered the employees on the floor and fled the store on foot.
He was seen getting into the passenger side of a red, four-door Chevrolet Silverado with tinted windows and no license plates.
Police described the suspect as a white male, between 6 feet 2 and 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. He was seen wearing a blue and red flannel shirt, jeans, black gloves and a black hat with an unknown logo.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Irvine Police Department at 949-724-7183.
