FOUNTAIN VALLEY Awards season is on its way, and the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its Business and Leadership Awards for 2017.
The categories are: Community Spirit, Leadership Excellence, Non-Profit, Small Business (up to 25 employees), Large Business (26+ Employees) and Community Champion (non-member).
According to the Chamber’s criteria, the spirit award goes to an “outstanding individual who can best demonstrate exceptional vision and leadership in the establishment and development of an owner-led business. The judges will look for clear identification of a market opportunity and an innovative approach.
The Community Champion is “presented to the business or individual who can best demonstrate leadership and commitment to community service as well as involvement in the local business community.”
Winners will be announced at an award dinner, 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Mile Square Golf Course Banquet Room, 10401 Warner Ave. Cost: $65.
Nominations are open until 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22. Forms are available at the chamber, 10055 Slater Ave., Suite 250, or on-line at fvchamber.com.
