Firefighters fight Thomas fire in the Los Padres National Forest (photos)

The Thomas fire, currently the most destructive active wildfire in Southern California, has pushed into Santa Barbara County and forced the evacuations of thousands.
On Saturday, firefighters set backfires to try and cut off the path of the flames.  Here are some photos of the crews’ efforts:
