Firefighters put out a blaze at a manufacturing building in Orange on Monday afternoon, Oct. 5.
The fire, which sent black smoke into the sky, was reported just before 1 p.m. at 2060 N Batavia St. in an industrial area, according to the Orange City Fire Department.
It took Orange and Anaheim firefighters about 20 minutes to get the blaze, at a foam and plastics manufacturer, under control, according to authorities.
As employees looked on, fire crews focused much of their efforts on what looked like a large metal pipe connecting the building with a smaller structure outside.
No injuries were reported and the cause was under investigation.
