DOJ: Man accused of storming U.S. Capitol in Jan. 6 riot arrested in Glendora

A man accused of violently storming the U.S. Capitol Building with other rioters last week was arrested in Glendora late Wednesday night, according to a Department of Justice bulletin.

Hunter Allen Ehmke, 20, faces charges of destroying government property, violent and disorderly conduct and obstructing an official proceeding, federal prosecutors said.

FBI agents arrested Ehmke at his Glendora home just past 8 p.m., an FBI official said. The agents then turned him over to local police to hold overnight in their jail, according to Glendora police.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s booking records showed Ehmke was being held without bail.

Records show Ehmke was transferred to another agency’s custody at around 7:44 a.m. on Thursday. The agency was not listed, but he was likely transferred to federal custody because of the nature of the charges against him.

Department of Justice officials said Ehmke was expected to appear in federal court in downtown Los Angeles later this afternoon.
