Coronavirus tracker: California surpasses 25,000 deaths, reports 31,117 new cases as of Dec. 30

Wednesday’s end-of-day totals reported by California public heath websites added 31,117 new cases of the coronavirus in the state, bringing the total number of people who have been infected to 2,261,211.

There were also 439 new deaths reported in California, bringing the total number of people who have died in the state to 25,400.

An additional 193 patients were admitted into California hospitals, making for 21,433 hospitalizations statewide.
