According to the end-of-day totals from California public health websites for Sunday, March 21, there were 1,133 new cases of the coronavirus reported statewide, bringing the total number of cases there have been to 3,617,058.
The 14-day average of new cases daily is 3,036.
There were 97 new deaths reported Sunday, for a total of 57,030 people in California who have died from the virus.
California reported 3,012 people in hospitals with coronavirus-related infections.
