Coast Guard searches for crewman missing near Seal Beach

SEAL BEACH — The U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies were searching the ocean off Sunset Beach and Seal Beach for a crewman who went missing from a 100-foot commercial fishing vessel, officials said on Saturday, July 24.

The 35-year-old man was last seen at about 2 a.m. aboard the Sea Queen II. The boat was anchored in the area of Seal Beach and Sunset Beach, according to the Coast Guard.

He was described as Asian and wearing a red sweatshirt and black sweatpants, the Coast Guard said.

No further details were immediately available.
