CHP holding annual toy drive

The California Highway Patrol is again collecting toys that will be distributed to children for Christmas.

The toy drive has been held for more than 25 years, said Officer Mike Lassig, a spokesman for the CHP’s Temecula office.

Unwrapped toys may be delivered to any CHP office or Walgreens store. The CHiPs for Kids collection runs through Dec. 20.

Uniformed officers will deliver the toys in the week before Christmas and on Christmas Day.
