A boat docked at Dana Point Harbor caught fire on Thursday just before 2:30 p.m.
When Orange County Fire Authority firefighters arrived on scene, one boat was “well involved” with smoke and flames, Cpt. Greg Barta with OCFA said.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly and prevent any spread to neighboring docked boats in about 25 minutes.
The boat was a Carver Riviera cabin cruiser, images from the scene show. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

A loud “ka-boom,” which sounded like an explosion, was heard before the smoke and flames were seen, said freelance photographer David Bro, who was on a neighboring boat a few hundred feet away.
The boat was parked on the island side of the harbor. One person was being treated, but their condition was not immediately available, Barta said.
This is a developing story. More information will be added when it becomes available.
