A 25-year-old Trabuco Canyon man died on New Year’s Day, more than two weeks after being hit by a car while riding his bike in Rancho Santa Margarita.
On Dec. 15, Chandler Espinoza was hit at around 3:40 p.m. while he was riding on a street, according to Orange County coroner’s officials. He was taken to a hospital and being treated for his injuries.
According to a Caring Bridge website profile set up in tribute to Espinoza, he was on his way to work when struck. The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
