Anaheim woman, 25, dies in Long Beach shooting

An Anaheim woman brought to a Lakewood hospital late Saturday night died from a gunshot wound, and Long Beach police asked for the public’s help Sunday as they tried to gather information about the shooting.

Witnesses who brought the woman, identified as Keshawn Castilow, 25, to the hospital “could not provide details of where the incident occurred,” Long Beach police said in a news release.

Police went to what they called  “a possible location” in the city, the area of Paramount Boulevard and South Street, “but no evidence of a shooting was found,” the release said.

Long Beach police were contacted at 11:50 p.m. Saturday by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department about the woman, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was brought to the unnamed hospital in Lakewood, which adjoins Long Beach.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact  homicide detectives Sean Irving, Ben Vargas, and Ricardo Solorio at 562-570-7244.
