Santa Ana Police have taken four suspects – two adults and two juveniles – into custody after the shooting of a 36-year-old man in an alley behind 1909 West Myrtle St. on Friday, the department announced on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The incident was reported at 1:28 p.m. Officers arrived to find Mariano Labra Ramos of Santa Ana on the ground with a gunshot wound to the lower torso, said Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
Orange County Fire Authority personnel arrived and took Ramos to a hospital, where he died of his injuries at 2:55 p.m.
The adults taken into custody were Alexis Asuncion and Felix Vargas of Santa Ana, Bertagna said.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to call 714-245-8390.
