At least four people have been killed in a wrong-way collision involving six vehicles that occurred at 2:32 a.m. on southbound State Route 71 at Chino Hills Parkway.
One or more of the vehicles was engulfed in flames, making rescue efforts impossible due to the intensity of the heat.
The four people were pronounced dead at the scene.
One person was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
The California Highway Patrol has issued a SigAlert for all southbound lanes until further notice.
This is a developing story.
