30-year-old Santa Ana man shot and killed in Garden Grove

A man died after he was found shot in the head in Garden Grove early Sunday, July 24, and police are searching for the killer.

Authorities were summoned to reports of a traffic collision on the 1400 block of Buena Street at 1:39 a.m. but did not find evidence of a crash at the scene, Garden Grove police said in a news release. Instead, they found a wounded man lying in the street.

The victim was described as a 30-year-old Santa Ana resident. His identity was withheld pending the notification of relatives.

A description of any possible suspect and further details about the shooting were not immediately available.
