2 men get lengthy prison sentences for assaults on women in Anaheim, Ontario

One man was sentenced Friday to 128 years to life in prison and another — his cousin — to 24 years for pimping and sexually assaulting two women in Ontario and Anaheim.

Anthony Larue Jackson Jr., 40, and Marqesah Troycine Fox, 35, were convicted Sept. 9 of multiple felonies. Orange County Superior Court Judge Gary Paer sentenced Jackson to 128 years to life in prison and Fox to 24 years in prison.

The case began on Oct. 23, 2020, when Jackson and Fox abducted a woman from a bus stop.

On Nov. 3, the two men targeted another woman they found walking in Ontario after being stranded at the airport. They lied to her about letting her call her family in Nevada to help her get back home, and took her to their motel, prosecutors said.

Once there, Jackson slapped her and declared he was going to be her “pimp daddy.” When she refused, he put a gun in her mouth and threatened to kill her and her children. When she refused to get on a bed, both men attacked her and Jackson raped her. Then, they forced her to dress in black lingerie and took photos of her to use in prostitution ads.

She was forced to engage in prostitution with four men, earning $2,000 for the men.

Both women were kept under a bed for hours, with one of them having to urinate because she wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom. When they said they were hungry, a box of cereal was tossed at them.

At one point, the pimps took the two victims on a drive, and when one woman tried to flee, she was struck in the face with a wine bottle.

Also on Nov. 3 — the same day the men had abducted the stranded woman — the four checked into the Travelodge motel at 2060 S. Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim. They traveled to Venice and upon returning, one of the women was forced into a sexual act, which led to some apparent jealousy, resulting in a physical fight. During the melee, one of the women escaped and summoned police.

Fox was convicted of two counts each of human trafficking, pimping and pandering, and one count each of assault with a deadly weapon and forcible rape in concert, all felonies, according to court records. Jurors deadlocked on a count of forcible oral copulation.

Jackson was convicted of single felony counts each of human trafficking, pimping, pandering, forcible oral copulation, assault with a firearm and kidnapping. Jurors deadlocked on three counts of rape, two counts of forcible oral copulation and single counts each of sodomy by force, forcible rape in concert, human trafficking, pimping, pandering, all felonies.
